Mirror, mirror on the wall...

Call me crazy, but i think that all human beings should initiate some kind of protest against mirror manufacturers.

I would like to know how come, there is no institution that regulates de multi-million dollar mirror making industry. There are no production guidelines (what happen to all the quality indexes?) or standards set forth for manufacturers. At least, i don't think there are. Every single mirror that i run into, gives me a new version of myself!!!

Earlier this afternoon, i went to the gym. As i entered the club, i faced my first mirror. Boy i look good -i told myself. I kept walking, then changed into my working out clothes and out i went to face the hard body building world. Then i encountered my second mirror: Oh, oh, i need to loose that pouch, i said to myself. Ok, so i initiate the ritual: 5 minutes of stretching, 30 minutes of cardio workout, 5 minutes of cooling down, and off to the real machines: the ones that make your legs stronger, your arms toned and your middle section smaller. After the 20 minute session i was ready for the shower and back to work. Third mirror encounter: Geez...! I look so tired!

After the gym i stopped at a local restaurant to pick up a turkey sandwich. Oh no! A fourth mirror! Hey, wait a minute, what is wrong with me? I look...er... green? Could it be the lighting? Perhaps the make up (or lack of)? I don't know, but i am not feeling so hot out of the sudden. I leave the place trying to run to my car as fast as possible hoping that nobody notices me.

Finally at the entrance of the building, back at work, i notice a new mirror. This time, I don't look so bad. It's a full length mirror, and i am no longer sporting the "green" look, my hair looks in place, my clothes fit correctly, i feel better. I race back to my office, and... guees what?!!! Just as i am about to get there.... zas! A new mirror: in this one, my legs are very short and my middle section... arghhhhhh.... forget about it. It's been enough for today.

I can't handle this roller-coster!!!!
